Last week we had the chance to join @axios_delta a Last week we had the chance to join @axios_delta and organize a clean-up activity at the National Park of Axios Delta, just 10 km away from Thessaloniki 🗑🌎🌱 We managed to collect a lot of garbage bags and clean the area of ​​dumped trash. In Colombia, protests have been taking place for o In Colombia, protests have been taking place for over 2 weeks now,  and have been met with extreme violence by the authorities. The trigger for the protests was the new tax reform proposal presented by the government on April 15 which would have lowered the threshold for which income tax begins to be paid, thus decreasing the number of people who are currently exempt from paying taxes.  The United Nations and numerous human rights organizations have condemned the Colombian government for excessive and unnecessary use of force.  Precise numbers are hard to pinpoint, with the Colombian government most recently claiming only 26 have died. Raising awareness of HIV positivity and safe sexua Raising awareness of HIV positivity and safe sexual practices is still one of the biggest challenges facing our society today. ⚠️ Since 2009 Positive Voice, an association of HIV-positive patients founded in Athens, has been trying to face this challenge. In Thessaloniki the offices of the association opened their doors for the first time on the 11th of March 2014. Here Positive Voice opened a prevention centre too, where it's possible to get tested for free for HIV, the so called Checkpoint.
