International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition

Today it is International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition. UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) first declared this day in 1998. The purpose of the day is, as the name says, to commemorate the tragedies of the slave trade. It also intends to break the silence around slavery and the slave trade.

World Radio Day 2017 in Serres: a day in the radio, a Radio in the World, the World in the Radio

It has been 6 years that the 13rd of February is a special day for all the peoples who like doing radio all over the world. It’s like the valentine’s day for radio speakers, we are talking about the World Radio Day ! For this occasion, 5 volunteers from USB (Rino and Carmen from Italy, Virginie from Germany, Alexander from Portugal and Jonathan -me – from France) have made a trip to Serres in order to participate to an 8-hours long radio broadcast organized by Praxis, a non-governmental organization created for getting youth evolved with cultural issues.
