1.5 week ago, from the 23rd to the 25th of November, the IFAISTIADA goalball tournament took place in the Ε.Α.Κ. Σταυρούπολης gymnasium. The event was organised by the IFAISTOS blind sports club and gathered eight teams from seven different countries. Sohaib Jidar is a 21 years old athlete from Catalonia, Spain. He loves running ultra-long distances and thus overcoming his own limits. For this reason, we decided to interview him and find out more about the fascinating world of ultra-marathons and his running philosophy in general.
Every year, on the edge of summer, the small town Proti in Northern Greece organizes a very lovely event for young people with a strong flavor of ancient Olympic Games. This four day long gathering is called Mathiada and it gives a chance to sport seeking high schools from all over the Greece to compete in various Olympic disciplines as well as to present themselves to the general public.
