Tarantella is a music genre from the south of Italy. The music exists in many variations, depending on the region it comes from. For example, in Salento they call it pizzica, and in Naples they call it tammurriata. Together with special guest Pierpaolo Sicuro from the Thessaloniki-based folk band Grikanta, volunteers Filip and Arianna explore this genre in this episode of Music Odyssey. Enjoy!
On the 24th of November, Grikanta is performing at the ‘Street Food Italia’ event, which takes place on Agias Sofias, Thessaloniki. Find more information about the performance here!
I am 30 years old traveller and art-lover from Slovakia, staying in Greece throughout the whole year of 2018. My main interests are nature (of reality), board gaming, music and visual arts. Thus I love to report mainly about the local cultural events and writing interviews. Since the beginning of May 2018, I was also appointed as one of the editors-in-chief for our lovely blog bubble.
